As an artist, they constantly question their position, not only as a maker but as a human being that has agency over the world they live in. They are interested in the journey towards the re-imagining and re discovery of identity in relation to nature and to other-than-human beings. The format of their work is quite broad, moving from sculpture towards performance, from text-based performance towards somatic practices to video works and publications. No matter which shape it takes, there has always been the recurring topic of ‘otherness’ at the center of it. This otherness can be seen in relation to the self (multiplicity of the self), other-than-human (nature and matter), or non-normativeness (queerness and the erotic). By raising questions such as; What does it mean to be human? or What is natural? They raise concerns about identity, intimacy, relationality and co-existence, sexuality, and collaboration. All these topics are related to queer ecologies; a term that invites us to reimagine gender, nature, politics, biology, and sexuality in the light of queer theory.
